P4/5 celebrated our 50th anniversary by making fruit kebabs in the kitchen before heading outside to join the Garden Party! We all had a brilliant day!

Great Glen Bake Off Winners
And the winner of The Great Glen Bake Off 2016 is… Erin Wallace!!!! 2nd place Leo Simpson and 3rd place Macie Miller. Well done to all entrants and our winners.

Primary Games
P4/5 had another great day out – this time at Ravenscraig Sports Centre for the Primary Games. We all had a brilliant day!

P4/5 had a great time at dynamic earth today! We showed off our knowledge of glaciers and even saw an iceberg!
50th Anniversary Garden Party Update

In our quest to make this a free event we have asked that children bring a donation of shop bought cakes/ biscuits to school on Thursday 9th June. These will be used for part of the children’s celebrations.
If you have not already pre ordered your balloon for realise at 4.00pm please send your child’s slip with payment of 50p to the school office by Friday morning.
Community Event – 3.00-4.00pm
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Hot dogs, candy floss, raffles, enterprise items and 50th anniversary memorabilia will be available to purchase.
Dynamic Earth
P2/3 had a great time at Dynamic Earth yesterday. The boys and girls demonstrated excellent listening and behaviour at all times. Well done everyone!

We all had a great time at our school trip to Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh today. Here are some of P2’s highlights! 🌍
Primary 4 Garden Enterprise
We had great fun today making our bird houses for the Garden Party. First of all we had to build our bird houses, then we used acrylic paint to paint the background and then we finished them off by using glitter, sequins and gems.
Gardening with Primary 4
We had fun in the garden with Paula from Hidden Gardens. Some of us helped to put compost on the vegetable garden, another group raked up the grass that had just been cut and the final group watered the flowers and plants.
Learning in the Sunshine
Primary 5 have loved being able to learn in our fabulous gardens in the sunshine.
Expressive Arts
Today we were developing our skills in drawing still life objects. We looked at some of the flowers in our garden and discussed how everybody looks at an object differently. Some of us prefer to focus on the detail, whilst others like to look at the shapes and colours.
Taught Writing
We also enjoyed the sunshine whilst writing persuasive pieces of writing. We were trying to convince people to save the rainforests and to prevent deforestation.
Gardening
We have also been very helpful in making sure our vegetables and plants are being watered in the garden.
