Kite Flying in Primary 3
In Primary 3 we are reading Flat Stanley as our class novel. We are really enjoying learning about this funny character and learning about all his adventures. We all made our own kites and then went out to fly them!

Ancient Egypt
Primary Three have been learning all about Ancient Egypt. Here is what we have been doing… We learned about how shaduf’s were used and made our own models from straws, yoghurt pots and play-doh. We have also been busy creating Egyptian landmarks for our class wall display!
Scottish Art
Today in Primary 3 we learned all about famous Scottish artist – Charles Rennie Mackintosh. We looked at some of his work and discussed the features and colours. Miss Lawson set us a challenge to keep an eye out for his work in the world around us. Some of us already recognised it from pictures in our houses or on other household items such as placemats, mugs, furniture and jewellery!
We worked together in pairs to create our own Charles Rennie Mackintosh design using oil pastels.
Puppet Making in Primary 3
Primary 3 made sock puppets in preparation for their french lesson with Veronique this week. Their puppets can only talk in french! “Voila!”
Glenboig Christmas Show and Nativity
Today was dress rehearsal day … and our children, as always did us proud! They remembered all their lines, sang their hearts out with lots of actions and smiled all the way through both the P4-7 Christmas Show and the P1-3 Nativity!
Fantastic performance boys and girls … I know that all your mums, dads, grandparents and carers are just going to love the show tomorrow!
I hope you have your tickets – it’s going to be a full house!
