Today the P7 buddies came to visit P1 to encourage the love of reading.  We had four different literacy stations.  The first one was peer read – P1 read their book first and then they chose a book for their buddy to read to them.

Station 2 was word splat!  The children took turns in calling out our common words … then  your partner has to hit it with the fly squatter.

Station 3 – Sound hunt.  The P7s called out different sounds and the P1s had to find the matching card.

Station 4 – Phoneme boards.  Let’s make some CVCs together.
