Mary and Joseph began the month of December visiting Glenboig’s Primary 1 class. They had a very busy day with lots of different learning activities:-
The class watched “Geraldine the Giraffe” who tells us all about our new sound “h”. We even thought about words from the Nativity – “holy, heaven, halo.”
In Maths we are learning about 2d shapes. Our different station tasks were: – to take photos of different shapes using the iPad, to draw and colour different shapes using a ruler and to make different shapes with plasticine.
Here we are very busy at all our language tasks. Mary and Joseph watched us learn our new common words, make our own sentences and enjoy some time in our reading castle.
We have also been practising our numbers and can sort number lines into order.
You can’t visit Primary 1 without a stop off at our Post Office – Mary and Joseph popped in to buy a postcard!
A lovely busy day in Primary 1 … we wish Mary and Joseph a super journey – only 24 more sleeps till Christmas!
