This morning we had our fantastic Easter Service led by Mrs Webster. We had some excellent readers from the infants and junior departments who did us all very proud. Amy from Room 4, Ava from Room 2 and Adam from Room 7. We also sang three of our favourite Easter songs: “Ho-ho-ho-hosanna”, “Spring Chicken” and “We have a king who rides a donkey.” The boys and girls from across the school sang so loudly and beautifully.
We also were very proud to donate a very healthy cheque to SCIAF on behalf of all the families at Firpark, thanks to your donations for crazy hair day as well as the Easter egg raffle. Our grand total was £170.50. A big thank you to all our friends and families at Firpark for your donations. Siobhan from SCIAF told the boys and girls how their money would go to help very needy people in some of the worlds poorest countries.
In the afternoon we also had some Easter egg-citement with the pupil council, together with Mrs McGuire drew the raffle which saw some very happy boys and girls at the end of the day.
Tomorrow we have our infant Easter bonnet parade in the morning, and Easter egg hunts for both the infants and the juniors in the afternoon. After school, Mrs Ellis, Mr Divers and Mr Cotter together with a band of fantastic samba drummers will travel to The Royal Concert Hall with ‘The Beats of Brazil’ project. Our excellent musicians are Craig from Room 12, Ava from Room 2, Jose Luis from Room 10.
Videos and pictures of tomorrow’s activities will be posted ASAP.
