Literacy Across Learning Week

This week we have enjoyed Literacy across all of our learning. We have found out about the famous Scottish artist and designer, Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

At the start of the week, we found out the meaning of an autobiography and a biography. Then we made notes about the life of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. We presented this in a slideshow.

We all looked at the Glasgow Rose. Next we made our own picture of the Glasgow Rose with a black pen and bright coloured pens.

Our class are excited to showcase our work from this week at the up and coming School Art Show.

Our First Rugby Session

Yesterday we had our first Rugby session outside on the High School’s pitches. This was taken by two Rugby coaches called Callum and Gavin.

We found out that you have to throw the ball backwards and cannot throw the ball forwards. This is difficult to remember. We also found out how to land and tackle. When tackling, we worked on our knees in pairs and we had to push one another with our shoulder blades.  Finally, we had a mini rugby game.

Everyone is looking forward to our session, next Wednesday, already!

Our First P6 Blog

We are enjoying our time in P6 with Miss Wallace and Mrs Hansen. P6 have a colourful classroom, full of our hard work so far. We have four new iPad minis and two desktop computers.

Our new I.D.L. is Japan. It is a fascinating country within Asia. We are comparing life in Japan to life in Scotland.

Every week we have managed to go outside for P.E. since the weather has been so nice. We are working on interval training and developing our football skills.

We have started a new music programme and it is fun.
