Today we did a pre-topic assessment on what we already know about the body.
Here are some things we already know…
Keavie – Your eyes can be sensitive. The eyebrows and eyelashes protect the eyes.
Matthew – Our skeleton is all of our bones put together. Without our skeleton we wouldn’t be able to move.
Angus M – Bones make up our skeleton.
Max – Messages from your brain go to parts of your body thirty times faster than a bullet train.
Kali – Our hair grows on our scalp.
Jake – Our ankle is attached to our leg.
Jordan – Our spine is made up of lots of different bones.
Angus R – Our brain is an organ.
Bethany – Your wrist is connected to your hand.
Lorna- There are 27 bones in your hand.
Carmen – Your ankle is joined to your foot.
We then went on to talk about what we want to find out. Here are some of our ideas…
Keavie – How do your teeth grow?
Matthew – How does your skeleton move?
Jocelyn – How does your hair grow from your scalp?
James – What are different diseases you can get? How does your body fight them?
Liam – How does your heart actually work?
Maggie – Why do some people have freckles?
Rachel – Why do we need to sleep?
Abbi – How do nails grow?
That is a lot of thigs we want to find out. Check back soon to see how we get on.
