Primary 4 Term 1

in primary 4 we do language.

We have learned new ways to do our spelling. We can do PYRAMID, RAINBOW AND GYMNASTICS. Gymnastics is fun because we use our bodies to spell out words. We have learned new ways to work with our reading books. These are a wee bit hard but more fun.

Our topic is Castles and Knights and I want to learn lots.

My group is the french group and I have learned things about the country in my homework.

Science investigator……..Amy

In class we have been investigating science.

We have learned about testing things.
we carried out an experiment on crisp flavours.

We smelt crisps that were in bowls to try to work out which flavours they were. We did not see any packets so we didn’t know which kinds were there.
I enjoyed it, it was fun but I thought it was a bit hard because I couldn’t tell by the smell alone. If I could have tasted one it would have helped me.

Topic and Maths lessons with Miss Lawson. by Lewis M and Dylan

We have a new teacher in our class just now. Her name is Miss Lawson and she is teaching us all about Myths and Legends and about Multiplication in Maths.

It is great fun working with her and we have been learning lots. We made factfiles about myths and legends and these were like scotland flags. (Lewis)

We have been learning lots of clues and strategies to help us multiply. I can do my 6 times table because I know clues and ways to help me. (Dylan)

Badminton Lessons by Lewis P

We are learning Badminton at PE time.
I really enjoy these because I like playing badminton. I think I am all right at it but I find it hard when I have to use backhand. I really enjoy playing beat the coach. He is very funy and hard to beat. On the very first week the coach asked Mr Furlong and Miss Lawson to hit the shuttlecock over the net to get us out in a game. It was really funny and I think they liked it.
