Active Maths + Science Investigations
Primary 3/4 have engaged in Some fabulous Active Maths activities.
We learned and consolidated our multiplication and division skills. We are getting so good with our times tables and have really enjoyed our station activities.
This week we also did some Science Investigations, looking at our Senses. We were blindfolded and used our trust for each other, hearing, our sense of touch and smell. We also noticed how much we use our hearing and researched about how animals use their different senses. However the best part was eating the lovely crisps at the end!!!!

Fun in P3/4
Primary 3/4 had a fabulous afternoon, doing expressive arts and PE.
We were painting, learning how to do different techniques and mix colours so that we could make an awesome Autumn picture.
After that we were in the gym hall, learning how to use the wall bars safely whilst having lots of fun.
A good end to a great week, thanks for reading.
Learning in Primary 3/4
This week we have been working on a a lot of new things, like addition of TU with carrying.
We had some really super Maths stars. P4 were working on a challenge sheet that had 100 different problems, while P3s were working on 75 different ones. We did so well and we really enjoyed it.
For literacy the P4s were researching the Paralympics as our book was about a disabled horse rider. we did fantastic reading and work.
The P3s were working on script writing for their Literacy task and were really enjoying reenacting it. For their first time, there was some really good work, especially due to it being their first time.
Mya has been working really hard with her Studyladder and is getting much quicker at it, well done.
In Expressive Arts we looked at trees and drew our own life like tree pictures.
Overall, It has been a very fun week. Thanks for reading.
Our first full week in Primary 3/4
We have had good fun this week, we have been learning lots. We met our new teachers Mrs White and Mrs Cornwell.
On the first week we were learning about other countries and the Olympics, which was really cool because we got to look at Usain Bolt, the fastest man in the world.
We had a fabulous time doing getting to know you activities and drama. For drama we acted out fairy-tales, but the best part was dressing up in lovely big clothes.
We have also enjoyed learning about the Parable of the Lost Sheep with the new teacher Mrs Mutch.
Maths has been great because we love learning new sums and practising our number bonds.
We’ve been using the laptops which has been really good fun, learning to copy and paste pictures onto a new page. We also looked at creating powerpoint presentations, and we will do a lot more things with the laptops. We can’t wait.
Health Week
This week has been health week, it has been fantastic fun, very educational and a little tiring.
we made a healthy snack with Mrs Cornwell, which was toast with healthy toppings. It was really fun and delicious. We also got to walk a mile and even got to try out some yoga moves.
Our favourite part was of course the Sports Day, it was really good fun having races.
Health week was a huge success and we loved every minute of it.
Soft Shoe Shuffle
Today we were investigating different materials against our feet. We were doing this to find out which material would be best for the sole of our designs and the insole.
We found that cardboard was smoother and harder, but the paper was softer but stronger so some would use that for the sole of their shoe, & the press tile for an insole as it was more comfortable against their feet.
Some others decided that cardboard would be best for the sole of their shoes and the press tile for their insoles, whilst another group decided that the paper would be better for the insole instead.
