Primary 3/4 – Our Week

This week we have been having great fun.

In Literacy Katelyn and Joey have been enjoying the orange band reading books and have been working really well. Their book just now is called the Greedy King.

The Big Bad Bananas have been reading chapter 7 of the Alex, the walking accident. We are really enjoying this book but we are very excited about getting a new book very soon, as we only have 1 more chapter to go.

The Monster Minions have been reading Kate and the sheep, our book has been good so far.

Ewan, has also been enjoying the Invisible Dog book. He has loved learning about different types of dogs.

Elle and Elliot have been doing really well with their reading and are enjoying a Cats book, which seems to be a lot of fun.

Numeracy

Most of us beat our big maths scores this week and we are over the moon about it. Our highest scores were 36 and 37, which is fabulous for Primary 3s.

We have been learning division. We used the triangles and learned how to use our timestables to do mental division. It is challenging but we are enjoying division so far.

We have just started to learn about remainders as well, this is harder but we will work our best on it.

IDL

In IDL we have learning about Life in the 70s. On Tuesday we are going on a school trip to see 70s cars and toys etc. We have also wrote character studies about famous people from the 70s, like the Wonder Woman, Luke Skywalker and the Muppets.

We have found out that in the 70s people wore flares, platform shoes and the hairstyles were perms, which are really curly.

Health and Wellbeing

In PE we have been learning Tag rugby, and how we need to dodge each other in rugby. We are loving using a different shaped ball and running, dodging and swerving to play rugby.
