Today we had a class trip to the Wallace Monument and then to Stirling Castle. Some people were a little scared when we were climbing the very narrow, steep, stone staircase but everyone managed to climb up and enjoy the view and the exhibitions inside. Some people also found the climb very tiring. We saw an exhibition of William Wallace’s Sword.
We thought it was very tall, and almost the same height as most of the children in the class. We also got to see the armour that would have been worn. We saw the River Forth and realised it was very wide and we also saw the loop that trapped the English Army at the Battle of Stirling Bridge. We drove passed Stirling Bridge on our way to Stirling Castle. While we were at Striling Castle we visited the tapestry exhibition and saw the tapestry of William Wallace and Andrew Murray b ut we also saw one about Ally’s Tartan Army in the World cup of 1978. We took lots of photos but if you’d like to see them you’ll have to wait till our Assembly on Friday.

The trip was one of the most amazing trips that I have been on in my life. I really enjoyed being able to see the William Wallace sword and the stairs of the Wallace monument were very windy and steep. I really liked the view because you could see the loop of the river Forth and you could see for miles across Stirling. You could see Stirling castle aswell. I really really enjoyed the trip. It was epic!!!
