Our Week 15th Feb – 19th Feb

This week we have had so much fun.  We welcomed our new classmate to our class.  His name is Ewan and he is in P4.

Expressive Arts : In Music we were using the chime bars.  We learned 4 notes, which were C, D, E and G.  It was great fun because we were playing in time to the music.  We were split into 4 groups and we chose 4 different notes to play.  It was good because we were able to all have a turn & play all the different notes.

We need to work on staying in time with the music, as some of us were slightly out of time.  Perhaps next week we can practise again.

Numeracy : We have finally finished money.  This week we have been concentrating on subtraction of money, using chimney sums.  Some of us have found this easy, but some of us have found it tricky.  We really need to work on carrying over for addition and exchanging for take away.

Literacy : The Big Bad Bananas have a new book, called Alex the Walking Accident.  We are enjoying it very much so far & it was really funny when it was raining cornflakes.

The Monster Minions are still enjoying ‘Survival Adventure.’  We are really looking forward to finding out what happens.

The Doctors, Angry Bears & Ewan are also enjoying their new books.

Health and Wellbeing : This week we have been practising our skipping skills.  We played Helicopters & skipping when moving, which was quite difficult.  We are trying our best & most of us are able to do a crossover when skipping.
