Robert Burns and Scottish Day. By Laura P

We have had a busy term so far.
We had our class assembly on the 25th of January. This is Burns day and our assembly was all about the life of Robert Burns. We all had a role to play and we had poems to say as well. Liam was Robert Burns and he had lots to do. He had to show his work as a farmer, as a poet and as a husband and father. He was very good. I was a reader and narrator.

On Scottish afternoon I was reciting the first verse of To a mouse by Robert Burns and everyone got to recite The Puddock by J.M.C and we also all sang Bonnie Wee Jeanie McCall and Three Craws. I was very nervous because my mum, my dad and my gran were watching me. We practiced very hard in class and we recited our poems and sang our songs every day.

Everyone was very good and I can’t wait till next year to do it again.
