Chryston’s very own Rainforest by p3

We have begun our new topic and have already been busy making some wonderful artwork to turn our classroom into a rainforest.

We have also been working on our research and note taking skills.

Here are just a few of the facts we have learned so far:

The temperature never falls below 25 degrees Celsius – Jay

A single rainforest can have more than 1,400 butterfly’s species – Dionne

There are two different types of rainforests and they include both temperate and tropical – Lewis

One quarter of natural medicines have been discovered in the rainforest – Rebecca

The Amazon rainforest is the largest tropical rainforest in the world. – Daniel

An area of the rainforest the size of a football pitch is being destroyed every second – Olivia

Some rainforest monkeys are omnivores, eating both animals and plants – Ryan
