Lewis “We had a special visitor, Mrs McLaren, she came to tell us about the 1960s and what it was like”. 🙂

Elli “Mrs McLaren told us about a tradition where the bride and groom would throw money and kids would get to keep it 😊”

Annmarie “it was very interesting”.

Ayva “Mrs McLaren told us about houses, they had a whistle kettle 😀”.

It was lovely having her in our class, we gave Mrs McLaren a sticker for her great work.

We have been learning about time.

Jaymi- We had to estimate how long activities would take, then we timed them using the iPad.

Eva – I was good at estimating I thought building 20 cubes would take 19 seconds, it took 20 seconds. I was really close.

Annmarie- it was fun.

 

Amy- We made rockets after we learned about the first men on the moon.

Michael – The first men to walk on the moon were, Buzz Alrdrin and Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins went with them.

Ayva – To make our rockets we used cardboard and painted it, we used tinfoil to make the point of the rocket. We used tissue paper to make the fire.

 

 

Klea- We have been learning about the eat well plate.

Kevin- We designed our own healthy plate using the eat well plate.

Lewis- we learned about what section the different foods go in.

Primary 1, 1/2 and 2 competed in the Highland games.

Kevin- We were running in the Highland games.

Eva- We played a relay race and toss the wellie. It was funny, mine went really far.

 

Annmarie- We had an athletes feast it was yummy.

Ayva- Toss the wellie was my favourite.

We have all been so busy since Christmas!

We have been learning about position and movement. Millie has been hiding in our class and we had to describe where she was hiding! We used words like under, above and beside.

Then we used beebots! We worked with a partner to direct them to different locations on the map! We had to use directions like forward, left, right and backwards! It was lots of fun!

 

 

We have have also been doing some super art work! We were learning Scottish songs as part of Scottish month! Then we designed our very own crows using tissue paper! Don’t they look fantastic?

Primary 1, 1/2 and 2 had a great time at their Christmas party. We all looked great in our party clothes! We got to play lots of games like pass the parcel, and did lots of dances, we really liked the Macarena. We even got to have lots of nice food and some ice cream! It was lots of fun! Here are some pictures of us enjoying ourselves.
