Symmetry

Today we were working on Symmetry.  We had lots of fun learning about it. The pictures below show our class working in groups to complete Symmetry tasks.

At station 1 we had to match the cards of the ladybirds and butterflies so that the shapes were symmetrical.

At station 2 we had to use materials and make a symmetrical pattern.

At station 3 we used the peg boards to make symmetrical designs.

We also played a symmetry game on top marks website. We had to decide if the pattern was symmetrical or not. We got most of them correct.

We learned that for a shape to be symmetrical it must be a mirror image!!

Gym

We have been working very hard in gym this week. We can do a bounce pass, a chest pass and we have been practicing our shooting skills. We have been working together in a team to try and score as many baskets as possible. It’s been loads of fun!
