Yesterday, we came into class to find a messy library with a carrot in it!  We looked in the library and we found a clue! Ralfy the rabbit had taken 3 of our favourite books!

We had to work super hard to solve the clues!

Jaymi “We solved two clues and got back Superworm and the Gruffalo back!

Oliver “we still need to find the highway rat book!”

Michael “we have made Wanted posters and stuck them up round the school to try and find him.”

Lewis “we have written letters to try and get him to bring our books back, and we said he can borrow books from our library, if we get our book back!”

Make sure you are all on the look out for the bunny thief!

Primary 2 have been learning lots about subtraction in different ways!

We have been practicing our bowling skills and creating our own subtraction sums depending on how many we knock over! It was lots of fun.

We have also been playing some great subtraction games on the interactive board and IPads to help us practice.

We have been learning different names for subtraction including take away and minus!

We have even been making up our own subtraction stories!

We have been working super hard!

     

 

Klea “We have been learning about our favourite toys, we had lots of fun showing our toy to the class.”

Eva “We also made up a riddle about our favourite toy, I wonder if you can guess any?”

Eva “my favourite toy is green, you can play mario cart on it.”

Conor “My favourite toy is made of air and you can bounce it.”

Amy ” My favourite toy is cuddly and it’s made of stuffing.”

We we have also been learning about toys that move and don’t move.

Lewis “We had to cut out pictures from magazines and stick the pictures on the correct side, for toys that move and toys that don’t move.

 

Primary 2 have been working hard learning how to insert pictures into pic collage and add text! They worked really hard and had some great pictures!

Klea “We have been learning about pic collage”.

Annmarie “We learned to take photos of our favourite books”.

David  “We joined all the pictures together”.

Lewis “We added a text to tell everyone what we were doing, so they can read it. It was fun.”

 

We have been working very hard in gym this week. We can do a bounce pass, a chest pass and we have been practicing our shooting skills. We have been working together in a team to try and score as many baskets as possible. It’s been loads of fun!

 

Primary 2 have been having a great week making some Halloween art work! We used cotton buds to create a skeleton effect, here are some examples, let us know what you think.
