Today we released our Butterflies. We were a little bit sad to let them go because we like looking after them in the class. Pretty much the whole school came out to watch the butterflies fly away. We are sorry that Mrs Woodward and some of the bigger boys and girls didn’t get to see it BUT we took some pictures for them so see what happened. Thank you to all the classes for coming to watch it! Primary Two have really loved looking after the caterpillars and watching them change into butterflies and hope the butterflies have a good life and that the life cycle keeps going!

it was so hard to let the butterflies go. most people said that they didn’t want the butterflies to leave but we know they need to be free. it was fantastic seeing them being released.

I really enjoyed watching the caterpillars turn into a cocoon then into beautiful butterflies. I was happy and sad when we released them.
