Apple Day

Today we had an Apple Day in P1/2. We all brought an apple to school. Ashton had eyes on his apple! We found out there are lots of different types and names of apples. Everyone cut apples into halves and quarters and then we tasted them. In the afternoon we printed with apples. It was fun!

A cracking week in P1/2!

We were all working hard on Monday and then a man came into our classroom with 10 live eggs. We have loved watching them and we have taken excellent care of them all week. On Wednesday 6 eggs hatched. When we came to school on Thursday 3 more had hatched overnight. At 11.30am on Thursday we watched the last egg hatch in front of us. Next week we will have the chance to hold the chicks.

On Tuesday we went on our class trip to Summerlea. We went on a tram and looked at different houses from the 40’s, 60’s and 80’s. Some of us were very brave and went down the mine. We enjoyed our lunch in the park. We had a great time! Miss Wallace was delighted with our behaviour.

We have had great fun out in the sunshine. What a cracking week we have had!
