We are Scientists

imageimage imageimage imageBoth P1a and P1b  went to the gym hall to take part in an exciting science investigation. We had to guess which surface would make the bouncy ball bounce the highest. We tried bouncing the ball on tissue paper, the wooden floor, a metal tin, a gym mat and cardboard. Most people thought the wooden floor would make the highest bounce, but it was the metal tin.  We had a great time taking part. Have a look at P1a’s blog to see how we all got on with our fruit smoothies.

Primary 1b’s blog

IMG_1408Welcome at last to P1b’s class blog! We have overcome some technical issues and finally have a class blog. The name will be changed from P1/2 to P1b soon. So this is our class and we have been learning so much and having a load of fun along the way! We have decided that P 1b stands for Primary 1 ‘brilliant’, because that’s what we are! Keep looking to see what we are up to and please comment on our posts we love to get your feedback.

Welcome to Primary 1a’s blog! We have been very busy since we came back after the Easter holidays. We have finished our topic on Little Red Riding Hood which was great fun and we also looked at Spring and some of the changes which happen as the seasons change. We looked at life cycles of frogs and butterflies and just today went to see some caterpillars which are getting ready to change into a chrysalis.imageimageimageimageimageimageWe shall be starting our new topic ” The Enormous Turnip” and shall be doing an an experiment looking at what makes things grow.

We had  a lovely day when we had our Teddy Bears’s Picnic. We made hats and Teddy biscuits. Thank you all for the sponsor money which will be sent to St.Andrews’ Hospice. Hope you like our photographs!imageimageimage
