School Closures

School closures

Bad weather and other unexpected events may result in school closures which will cause some disruption to educational provision.  North Lanarkshire Council’s website will advise which schools are closed – you can register with them for updates and follow their twitter and Facebook feeds.

However pupils can still  keep up with their learning at home.

Covid19 Pandemic: Learning from Home
Homework

If we have warning of poor weather then teachers may provide pupils with some work whilst still at school. Even if pupils haven’t been given homework, they can carry out their own research, revise notes, read over work, learn vocabulary or key words, and read quality newspapers or other appropriate reading material.

If pupils have access to a computer or tablet with internet access at home then there are many web sites with resources and activities which can support learning.  Some are general in nature however many are tailored to the curriculum offered in school. Check out our useful links page for more ideas.

Glow

All pupils will have a GLOW log-in and password and will be able to access resources on GLOW. Pupils should make sure they know their log-in details and can ask Mr Clarke if they’ve forgotten.
