Calderhead now has its very own Credit Union which will run in conjunction with Newmains Credit Union. All first and second years have been invited to open up a junior account and this will extend on to S3-S6 in the coming weeks. We have 5 senior pupils who have been trained by Newmains Credit Union and will run the school credit union every Tuesday at lunch time in the social area.
Well done to the young leaders from Calderhead High School who helped out at the Wishaw/Shotts tennis festival at Wishaw Sports Centre.

The whole school participated in the recent World Book Day Quiz and competition between the classes was fierce! However, 5S2 won by a narrow margin and have been appointed this year’s World Book Day Quiz Champions. Congratulations!
Well done to the Calderhead S1/2 A and S3/4 table tennis teams who made it through to the table tennis finals when they played in the recent table tennis tournament at St Aidens High School. The finals will be held on the 24th June 2016.
Calderhead High School Parent Council is holding a quiz night at Shotts Bowling Club on Friday, 11 March 2016 at 7.00pm. Cost is £10.00 per team.
Calderhead High School celebrated World Book Day with a number of fun activities. Classes showed off their literary knowledge by participating in a book quiz, our new book group was launched in the library and the World Book Day tokens were distributed.
Letters have been issued to pupils in S4 – S6 regarding exam leave (see below).
Exam leave will begin at 3.15pm on Tuesday, 3rd May 2016 and pupils will return to school on Monday, 6th June at 8.50am.
