Child Protection and Safeguarding at Calderhead High School
At Calderhead High School, the safety and wellbeing of every pupil is our highest priority. We are committed to creating a secure, supportive, and nurturing environment where all young people feel safe, respected, and valued.
Child Protection and safeguarding are vital responsibilities shared by all staff, and we work proactively to identify and respond to any concerns that may affect a pupil’s welfare. We believe that every child has the right to grow up free from harm, and we take all necessary steps to ensure this right is protected.
Our designated Child Protection Officer is Mr MacPherson, Depute Head Teacher. If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a pupil, it is essential that you report them directly to Mr MacPherson without delay. He will ensure that appropriate action is taken in line with national and local safeguarding procedures.
