Mr Russell’s Fundraising

Calderhead High School participates in various events to support and promote the invaluable work carried out by St Andrew’s Hospice for its patients and their families.

Mr Russell IcelandThis summer Pupil Support and PE Teacher, Mr Russell,  will be participating in a five day trek across the highlands of Iceland  to raise vital funds for St. Andrew’s Hospice in Lanarkshire.  The trek will involve eight and nine hour days climbing through lava fields, river crossings and wading through  ice cold streams.

As part of his fundraising efforts, Mr Russell has organised a raffle which will be drawn in the school on 9th June. Tickets cost £5 and the excellent prizes on offer include an overnight stay for two at the Doubletree Hilton in Glasgow; signed football shirts; a service and MOT up to the value of £100; and many more. Parents and carers can also support this cause and a letter has been sent home with pupils regarding this (click below).

You can also support Mr Russelll’s efforts online at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Graeme-Russell4

All monies raised will be put to the best possible use for the care and comfort of Hospice patients and their families.
