School Improvement

The School Improvement Plan

Copies of the school improvement report are issued annually to parents. The school priorities will reflect local and national priorities in education.

Buchanan High School improvement plan priorities for this session will be as outlined below.

  • To further ensure progression, depth, breadth, coherence and relevance shape our curricular design. Improve success and access to a wider range of qualifications and wider achievements.
  • To further improve communication across the school to support pupils with communication difficulties.
  • To develop the priorities within the National Improvement Framework to ensure improvement in Literacy, Numeracy and Health and Wellbeing.
  • Develop rigorous systems to monitor and track attainment and achievement ensuring appropriate progression from S1-S6.
  • To continue to improve learning and teaching through self-evaluation, PRD and Learning Visits.

The school continues to improve in both attainment and achievement.  Our achievements were set out in the December newsletter and in our school improvement report.  Please contact the office if you wish a copy.
