S1 pupils recently took part in three days of problem solving and team work tasks as part of a whole school IDL project.
During their time in the Technical dept the pupils were tasked with two construction based activities where they had to work as part of a team to design and build a freestanding tower from drinking straws then a bridge from K’nex.

Acrylic is a wonderful plastic that can be used for all sorts of different projects. It comes in both transparent and coloured options, and can be machined, laser cut, or heated and bent into almost any shape.
