ALL North Lanarkshire schools will be CLOSED today. Amber Met Office warning for snow remains in place – please avoid travel. If you do travel be prepared for severe disruption.
We will update you of any further news regarding possible disruption for tomorrow as soon as we get it here and on the council website.
Due to the Amber weather warning for tomorrow Wednesday 28 February, the decision has been taken to cancel Additional Support Needs transport operated directly by the council.
At present school remains open, if there are any changes we will notify you here and on the council website
Block two of Friday Clubs has started and and the pupils have already began some very hard work manufacturing their “desk tidy”. It will be amazing to see the outcome in a few months time.
Fantastic work from the pupils throughout Friday Clubs. Planning, designing and manufacturing their very own “Tower Of Benareis”. Session one, for the first half of the school year is finished and pupils have now selected their new club for the second part of the school year.
I am excited to see the outcome of what the next block of pupils will design and manufacture.
Our topic for the next week will be Chinese New Year.
Today we took a trip into a Chinese Supermarket and bought food for our cooking lesson on Monday. We also had great fun at The Chinese Buffet King at Soar, Glasgow.
We have one very proud young man, who has enjoyed
attending a Technical Studies Friday Club. He has learnt about woodwork safety and has enjoyed spending time with pupils from other classes.

The pupils and staff had great fun celebrating one of our pupils Birthdays!
As part of our new topic-inventors, the green group were learning about the creation of slime. Everyone had great fun making their own messy slime.
Can we remind you all that school is closed to pupils from Monday to Wednesday next week for the half term break, we look forward to their return on Thursday. Staff are in on Wednesday for our inservice day and will be receiving a Makaton training workshop to refresh our knowledge.
