Some of our seniors who work with Brian on a Friday doing horticulture were filming with the BBC last week. Jim McColl from the Beechgrove Garden was in Firpark Secondary and the Sensory Garden at Bothwellpark High School filming for two upcoming programmes called ‘Seed to Fork.’ It will be broadcast on the BBC in early May.

Visit to Oatridge College (SRUC)
The orange group (and some pupils from the yellow group) were lucky to have a visit to Oatridge College (West Lothian) at the end of last term.
We were shown round the campus by Brian who comes to do some horticulture with the pupils in school on a Friday.
We had a very busy day from visiting the nursery where the grow the plants, being able to sit on various machine and tractors and visited the stables to see the horses. We were extremely lucky to be able to hold some lambs…they enjoyed sucking on our fingers!
Thank-you to Brian for allowing us to come and visit the campus.

Music with Alan
Some of the pupils in the orange group enjoyed learning about some music technology with Alan on Wednesday morning! I wonder if they will remember how to connect up all the equipment next week?
They were also doing a little bit of drumming and it was sounding amazing! Well done boys!
Beats of Brazil
Some photos from yesterdays Beats of Brazil rehearsal with John and Marcia!
Work Experience at Windmill Cafe
We have been getting lots of positive feedback about Amie and Nadine at Windmill Cafe. They have been working very hard during their shifts at the cafe recently and here are a few photos to prove it! Keep up the brilliant work girls!
Celtic Connections
We were lucky to get more tickets for Celtic Connections on Thursday (26th January)! This week we saw performances by RCS Juniors and Braebach.
We all traveled to Glasgow Royal Concert Hall for the concert to start at 11am for just over an hour.
All of the pupils had a great time with many of them enjoying hearing the bagpipes being played in the hall!
