Lest We Forget.

A week of work on Remembrance Day culminated with a visit to Glasgow’s George Square for the Red Group Today.  Some of the group travelled to Glasgow by bus and some by train, meeting in George Square to lay a specially designed wreath they had been making throughout the week.  At the Square they were welcomed by Stuart, a soldier of the Scots Guards, who thanked them for  their wreath and answered some of the questions they had for him.  When they returned to school they told everyone about their day and the work they had been doing.  What great representatives they are for the school!

Lunchtime Sports Club

This week we launched our lunchtime sports club for all pupils.  The club is being led by Hannah S, John and Tracey and after the first session it is safe to say it is a big hit with staff and pupils alike.  Also helping out at the club are staff and pupils from OLHS so it is a great opportunity for inclusion for pupils and staff.  Our first session focussed on Football and Basketball and as you can see from the pictures it was a really active and inclusive session with nearly the whole school taking part!  Well done to all involved!

Lunchtime Sports Clubs

We are excited to let you know about our new Lunchtime Sports Clubs which we will be launching after the October break. We will be running these in conjunction with some of the staff and pupils from Our Lady’s High School as part of our inclusion programme.
