With the fantastic support from NLC Active Schools the Lunch Clubs at Bothwellpark have excelled to new heights. Pupils are able to enjoy lots fun and fitness with the added bonus of reduced screen time from devices such as laptops and iPads.

Our first outdoor learning session on literacy and the history of the Lords & Ladies of Barons Haugh was a fantastic experience. This outdoor learning will continue to accompany our forest schools programme throughout the school year.

Another successful session of Friday Tech Clubs. Pupils used a non hand tool for the first time and showed great focus, care and most importantly safety in doing so. With the level of work being so high we had to select two “Techie of the Weeks” to highlight our success.
Today the sky group had a fantastic outdoor learning experience through orienteering. We followed the green trail and enjoyed exploring all that nature has to offer in Barons Haugh Reserve.
Friday Clubs have shot off to a fantastic start for the 2018/19 school year. The beginnings of our candy sweet machine have already began to take shape and parents/carers should expect a lovely gift for Christmas.
Lunch Clubs have moved to whole new level with the support of North Lanarkshires Active Schools coordinators Majella, William and Norman, each bringing a variety of specialist sports skills to support the young people of Bothwellpark.
Fantastic time and experience had by the the young people using unique forms of technology to produce music and lights in different forms.
