Season’s Greetings!
Christmas Crafts!
We have enjoyed making Christmas crafts over the last week or two in school!
And, as it is the season of giving we made some lovely things to give to our friends and family.
First we used our collage skills to make a Santa Claus card…
Then, we used printing to create a lovely four seasons tree for some lovely calendars.
We will definitely be on the Nice List this year!
Saving the Planet!
Last week we learned about the importance of looking after our planet! We can help with this by making sure our litter goes into the bin, not onto the ground!
We braved the wind and rain to go litter picking in the playground. Then, we came back inside, warmed up and designed litter picking robots that could help us save the planet!
Because we have started to see lots (and lots) of Christmas lights, today we learned about electricity!
We experimented with making circuits, connecting a battery to a lightbulb (with the help of some crocodile clips).
Luckily there were no shocks and we managed to light the bulb. Electrifying stuff!

Move aside Willy Wonka
As part of our Young Business Kids topic, our classroom turned into the Banton Bairns Chocolate Factory today!
Last week we made up recipes for our very own chocolate! Our recipes involved melting chocolate, adding our own choice of ingredients and mixing it all together, before pouring it into special trays.
Here we are, hard at work making our chocolate:
Right now, our chocolate is hardening in special fridges (NOT Mr McNab’s tummy) and when it’s ready, we will be wrapping them up and trying to sell them to our unsuspecting families.
Mummys, Daddys, Grans, Grandads…get your money ready!
Homework
Hello!
Today we received some homework, which we were all strangely excited about! You can find out all about it on our homework page.
A Trip to the Park
As a reward for working so hard in class, we visited Banton Park!
Mr McNab had never been before so we had to show him the thirty second walk to get there.
It was worth the long journey though; We had lots of fun on the swings, the roundabout and even the zipline!
