Obstacle Courses

Obstacle Courses

As part of their Health & Wellbeing work last Term the Biggies were thinking about understand risk & safety in the playground. Their task was to design activities for the younger children taking into account safety concerns.

They started by building Obstacle Courses in the playground. They tried to make them challenging but safe and to take into account all the children who would be taking part. They also though about questions they might ask the younger children.

On the Friday it started to rain so the Biggies had to quickly pivot to create new courses inside the gym. Despite the extra challenge they did very well and the primary 1 & 2s really enjoyed their safe but exciting session.
