Good morning all of you. I have some tasks for my literacy group to complete for today.
Phonics
Our new phoneme for this week is i-e
Eg, time, fine, life, line, white
When the e sits at the end of the word, it is usually silent and it makes the vowel says it’s long sound or name.
So…fin becomes fine
Tim becomes time
Spelling Words
Five, time, life, line
Activites for Monday are…
- Phonics – Read the phoneme story and find all of the words that contain this i-e. Write them down. As achallenge, can you write a reply to the postcard using some of the words or use some of your own as well?

- Spelling – read each spelling word and talk with an adult about the letters in each word. Write each word out three times using rainbow spelling.
- Reading – Logon to Study Ladder and complete a reading activity which has been set for you.
- Read a book of your choice
I hope you all have had a chance to relax during the school break. I’m missing seeing your faces every day but hoping we can see each other again soon.
