Colour Coding with Primary2

Some pupils in Primary 2 have been learning about where in our mouths different sounds come from. This is helping us to improve our reading and spelling. Today we enjoyed jumping in the colour hoops, sorting alphabet flashcards and magnetic letters into the correct colour hoop then using them to build our own words. Well done Primary 2!

Today Primary 3 carried out their practical science investigation to discover what might affect how quickly a solid dissolves in water. Primary three had a brilliant afternoon today learning how a solid can change into a liquid. The best part was holding a chocolate coin in our hands whilst we read a long poem about chocolate. We discovered how the heat from our hands had melted the solid chocolate turning it into melted chocolate, a liquid. Licking our hands afterwards was a real treat. Primary 3 – The Dinosaur Camp

Primary 3 have been learning the story of The Dinosaur Camp through drama. We recreated the story back in class playing with our jelly swamps, creating a hole in time through the cookies and oats land. Numeracy in P3 Continued

We continued our learning of 2 and 3 digit numbers outdoors. We used PE equipment as our concrete materials. Hoops being the hundreds, cones being the tens and balls being the units. I wonder if you can use anything at home to make numbers with?

P3 Sea Life Centre

We had a lovely day visiting the Sea Life Centre at Loch Lomond. The children were thoroughly engaged and were asking lots of questions to the expert. What a great trip!
