Leadership Academy – Making orange juice
Pupils in P2-P7 enjoyed their first Leadership Academy in Fairtrade and cooking with Ms Whiston and Miss Lalmy. They learnt about the parts of the orange, they got to taste it and then they juiced them. The upper primary school pupils were very responsible working with their younger partners supporting them with how to use all the equipment. We also looked at being safe in a kitchen and where the sharp parts were on different equipment in a worksheet task. Pupils loved the juice although the majority recommend to drink it smooth with no bits.
