Dear Parents and Carers,

Snow has been forecast for tomorrow – it may not amount to much however I would just like to remind you of a few key points in case we have a significant amount.

  • The school / nursery will be open unless you are otherwise informed
  • Phone lines may be down or constantly engaged so we will try to text you to keep you updated – unfortunately texts sent from the school are not always received by parents until later. We have no control over that but Twitter and school blog updates should be more reliable
  • The school bus service will not operate if road conditions are dangerous. We will update you by text, Twitter and school blog as soon as we know whether buses are running or not
  • North Lanarkshire Council’s website will post any school / nursery closures and emergency arrangements www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk

You can sign up to North Lanarkshire Council’s twitter newsfeed or request email updates.

  • If the school is to close children will be kept in the building until collected by parents or permission is given to walk home.
  • School work will be posted on GLOW if the school is closed for more than a day.

It is vitally important that we have up to date contact details – please inform us of any changes to home or mobile numbers by telephone or letter.

Yours sincerely,

Carol Ellington

Head Teacher
