Investigating Living Things

Primary 2 have been learning all about living things and how they work.  Today we done an experiment to investigate how plants drink water.  We put pieces of celery into a plastic cup and added some water.  Then we added some food colouring and this turned our water a dark red colour.  In groups, we discussed what might happen to these pieces of celery.  Some children said the celery might dissolve in the water overnight.  Other children think the celery may turn a different colour.

Primary 2 are very excited to find out what happens.
