As the 25th of January drew near, the timorous wee beasties of P2 learned all about Scotland’s famous bard, Robert Burns. The pupils enjoyed hearing the dialect of the time through some of Burns’ most famous poems such as ‘The Selkirk Grace’ and ‘My Love is like a Red, Red Rose’. The children were able to investigate the popularity of Burns all across the world. They read facts about his life and what life would have been like on a farm in the 18th century.
