Hello everyone!

Did anyone practise the events we found out about yesterday?? Comment below if you did and let us know how you got on!

Today we are going to find out about another 2 of the events that we will be competing in on Monday. These are the Wellie Toss and the 3 Legged Race.

Wellie Toss – For this you will need a Wellie, but don’t worry you can compete using a shoe, a bean bag or rolled up socks too! Use the 100m track you marked out and stand at the starting line. Then you are going to throw the wellie as far as you can. To measure your distance count how many strides (a big step) it takes you to get from the starting point to your wellie.

3 Legged Race – This one is my favourite and always lots of fun!! Again using your 100m track and someone in your household, it can be an adult or your brother or sister, you are going to stand side by side and tie one of each of legs together. Do this using a scarf. Then time how quickly you can run 100m, if the scarf falls off pause, retie your legs back together and then continue. There are bonus points up for grabs if you can complete this race without stopping!!

Good morning everyone

I hope you are all well and doing well with the Literacy Transition ‘Wizard of Oz’ challenge so far.

Since it is almost time for our official summer holiday I thought you might like to try a ‘cool’ science activity this week. Click on the link below and have a go at making some ice cream. ( A little tip ….you could use flavoured milk instead of cream and vanilla essence to make flavoured ice cream)

As you follow the instructions  remember to think of the science involved , are there chemical reactions taking place and why does the liquid turn into a solid substance?

Good morning room 9!  I hope you are well.  I’ve sent coins to the children who were participating in this week’s Sumdog challenge.  Well done and keep working hard! Studdyladder is still up and running too so remember to spend a little bit of time on that too.

Today, all I’d like you to do is tell me one positive thing that’s happened as a result of lockdown.  It’s so important to always try to make the best out of what we have.  For me, it’s been having time to do things I enjoy even more.  I’ve been reading more, exercising every day, completing little jobs around the house I usually kept putting off due to not having enough time.  I’m so grateful for technology too so I can still see and talk to my friends and family.  Have you enjoyed spending more time with your families?
