P6

We are going to get a new playground toy it looks so cool. It is so big. It is a climbing frame and we are supper exited to try it out when we get it. We are getting it because the parents association got a fund from The National Lottery.
Rudi said thanks you a lot.
Greg said can’t say thank you so much, hope we don’t have to wait too long .

Jason said thank you for this opportunity.
Bethany said thank you so much I can’t believe that we get this opportunity with this kind of toy I hope we don’t have to wait too long.

We worked in pairs to research Rainforest resources. We then worked as a class to discuss where each resources comes form and how we use it. We displayed what we found out on the Smart board.

The 6’s and 7’s designed their own superhero or villain. A DC/Marvel comic book maker called Gary came into the p6 class. Gary showed us how a superhero can change to another superhero by drawing other super things to a superhero. The 6’s and 7’s disigned some amazing super villains and heros. At the end of the graphic Gary showed us the picture of a super villain/hero he designed using ideas from us.

This morning when we went into the hall and we met Stuart Reid who is an auther. In Stuart Reids visit we had lots of fun learning about his books. He was very funny when he talked about his books. In the chat in the hall he taked about boggie zombies and purple poo and the younger ones found it really funny. He also showed us videos of celebrities picking their nose he told us about how he became an auther and his past jobs. He told us about his many events around the world where he met other authors.

Later on in the afternoon he came in to our class and told us about stories in books, video games, movies, tv shows and adverts. It was very ineresting and we enjoyed it a lot. He talked about the books and video games and how some authors started of with books are now doing video games like Tom Clancy. Altoghter it was very fun meeting Stuart Reid and we hope to see him again.

In RE we have been learning about different world religions and their places of worship.

Christains worship in a church, their holy book is the Bible.

Sikhs worship in a Gurdwara, their holy book is the Guru Granth Sahib.

Muslims worship in a mosque, their holy book is the Qur’an.

Hindus worship in a Mandir, they also worship at home in a special room with a shrine to Gods.

Jews worship in a Synagogue, their holy book is the Torah.

P67 Homework 3

In PE today the P7s went out to the football pitch P6s were having fun in the gym hall. We played Opposites, benchball and fire in the rainforest. We had lots of fun while the P7s were away.

Today we went to chryston pitches. First we had a warm up . Then Miss McGregor put us in stations and we did circuoits to increase our heart rate. We enjoyed running and racing on the pitch.

in class we have we have been learning about prefixes. We learned de, which means undo and mis, which means wrong.

We have been learning about the Rainforest and deforestation. There are 4 layers in the rainforest there is the forest floor, understory, canopy and the emergent layer. Deforestation means that people are cutting and burning down trees. There are lots of diffrent animals in all the diffrent layers.
