Kilbowie Day 4 Last Activity Day
Yesterday we got a talk from the animal expert called Derek. He was really good at telling us about lots of different types of animals, we got to try flapjacks. Then we got taken out to see if we had caught any mice, then we went to the football pitch and we got to see Derek’s gulls it was amazing to see it. By Sam

Yesterday we had Safari with Derek. We went into his lab and we saw lots of really big goldfish. Then we went outside and he called his gulls to follow him, it was really cool. After we went to find traps to look for mice, shrews and voles but we had to look out for weasels. There were no animals in the traps so we went to the football pitch to feed the gulls. Derek threw tons of bread around and not all his gulls came..some ravens came too. When we went back to the lab, we got news that Mammoths might be coming back using Asian elephants DNA…very exciting stuff!!
Jack…..Yesterday we had Safari, it was very interesting. Derek is so funny…he showed us a video of an Innuit fishing and some real mouse traps in the grounds of Kilbowie. There was nothing in the traps ! He showed us some animal bones and animal skins…some of them belonged to red deer. He said that by planting an acorn we could help make an oak tree.
Yesterday was amazing. I did kayaking as our morning activity we went round an island we stop to go on an island there was 4 mountains the 1st one was small the 2nd one was bigger the 3rd one got bigger the 4th one was the biggest I kept saying to myself. “if I don’t do it I will regret it” I did all of them I was so proud. –Paul
