Today we looked at time in maths.
we all wrote down everything we knew about time.
Rachael wanted to know how many minutes were in a year. We worked out that there are 60 minutes in an hour and multiplied that by 24 to work out how many minutes in a day, we multiplied that by 7 then Rachael used SMILE multiplication to calculate that there are 524,160 minutes in a year.
Jason wanted to work out how many seconds were in a year, we calculated how many seconds were in an hour, then a day, then a week then Jason used SMILE multiplication to work out how many seconds were in a year. There are 31,449,600 seconds on a year.
Well done Jason ☺
Great work as always, P6/7.
