It has been a fantastic week at Kilbowie and all the children were gutted that the end had come so quickly. The activities the children took part in were very challenging and you should all be proud of the effort and commitment shown by all our Morningside children, they really were a credit to the school. We hope our Twitter and Blog updates have helped share the children’s fantastic experiences with you all. One last compilation video to show the children leaving Kilbowie behind and returning back to Morningside!

The children had an amazing last night at the disco and enjoyed their last supper too. Video is a bit dark but the children were all having a blast!

Another great day of activities at Kilbowie. The children are all super excited about the disco tonight and I hate to tell all the parents but the children don’t want to come home!

Another day of wind and rain did not stop the children having an amazing time on the ski slope, up in the hills and down in the gorge!

Cold and wet was the theme this afternoon but that did not stop children and staff having an amazing time gorge walking. The children were very brave making their way over rocks and passing through fast flowing water. The most enjoyable part seemed to be the big splash into the bottom of the water fall!
Another little compilation for you to see what the children are getting up to.

The children all slept well last night and were up early ready for their room inspections which they all passed and scored really well in. Some children enjoyed some walking and skiing this morning while others enjoyed some rock climbing. Here is a little compilation with some short clips from the rock climbing. Some warm soup and a roll to refuel and back out for the second activity of the day.

Primary 1 and 2/1 had a wonderful afternoon learning about Loch Ness and investigating the features of the landscape. They then created their own pastel drawings with the addition of a special Scottish legend.

The children have all arrived at Kilbowie safely and are already enjoying some outdoor fun! I think some of the boys need to practise making their beds more often, some very entertaining viewing! Some children have already been for a walk and some have even taken a dip in the water. A little video of the journey so far can be viewed by clicking the link below and we will try to post as many of these videos throughout the week as we can ( as long as the wifi stays reliable).
