School Outings

Primary 3/2 and Primary 4/3 have outings this week and will be spending time outdoors. Please ensure that your children have warm clothes and appropriate footwear in case of bad weather.

Primary 4/3 should bring their library cards tomorrow, with the permission slip that was sent home, if they would like to borrow any books.

Primary 3/2 will be going the following week and will also need the permission slips in order to borrow books. For the class trip on Wednesday, please remember to bring a packed lunch (in a disposable bag) and children are to wear their casual uniform and warm jackets and shoes.

We have a copy of the application form to get a membership with the library and can send one home on request.

School closed

Morning everyone!

All North Lanarkshire Schools are closed today, Wednesday 28th February due to the amber weather warning.

Here are some websites with educational games for home learning:

https://www.topmarks.co.uk/

https://www.bbc.co.uk/education/highlights/sections/primary

http://www.crickweb.co.uk/

If the older pupils know their Glow logins, there are plenty of resources to explore there as well.

Stay safe everyone  and keep up to date with the news at:

A Few Reminders…

  • Tomorrow is the last day to bring in books (good condition only please) for the Pupil Council’s World Book Day bring and buy sale.
  • Pupils will be able to buy books on Thursday for 20p (Please bring 10 and 20 pence pieces for this where possible as we have very limited money to provide change).
  • The World Book Day home reading challenge must be completed and handed in by Friday (signed by an adult) in order to receive a bookmark.
  • The Rag Bag collection is on Thursday so all donations must be in by then.
  • All remaining lost property that has not been claimed will be going with this so please ensure you collect any belongings before this time.
  • We are building a partnership with Newmains Library and have junior membership forms that can be taken home to be completed if you would like your child to become a member. Please contact the school if you would like a form and we will send one home. A few of the classes will be visiting the library over the new few weeks so we could take the completed forms down with us.

Thank you for your support!
