P3 and P4/3

From tomorrow, the children who leave through the door nearest the car park (P3 and P4/3) will be able to leave through the bottom gate. Please ensure that you make arrangements with your children so that they know which gate to leave from. This will hopefully ease the congestion at the main gate.

Thank you for your continued support.

Arrangements for the first week back

We hope everyone has had a wonderful summer holiday and is ready to start the new term. Please see below for the arrangements for starting back tomorrow.

New Primary 1 Pupils:

Thursday 16th August

  • Primary 1 Pupils have to be brought into the school hall through the front door at 9.30am. They will be taken through to their classes by their teacher. (Parents/Family will not be allowed in the classrooms in the morning to help children settle in with as little disruption as possible)
  • The parents of Mrs Molloy’s Primary 1 pupils can come round to the back of school to collect their children from the classroom at 2:20pm (no more than two people please as space is very limited). Photographs of your own child in their class can be taken at this time before you leave, however, please make sure you do not take photographs of other children without permission from their parents.
  • The parents of Mrs Mitchell’s pupils can come round to the back of the school to collect their children at 2:40pm. The same information about people and photographs applies.
  • We will always do our best to make transitions as smooth as possible, but we ask for your patience and understanding as we try to establish routines at the beginning of term.

Friday 17th August – Tuesday 21st August

  • All Primary 1  pupils are to be taken round to their lines beside the infant door for 8.55am.
  • They will be let out of the infant door to be collected at 3pm.
  • Please try to have no more than 2 people in the playground as other classes will be exiting the school though the playground at this point.

Wednesday 22nd August onwards

  • All Primary 1 pupils to be brought to the front gate and should go round to their lines for 8.55am.
  • They will be brought to the front door to be collected at 3pm.
  • Parents should stay outside the playground but close to the main gate to collect their children.
  • It would help us speed up the process if you could watch the main door for your child and give the teacher a wave once you see them so we can match up parents and children as quickly as possible.

Pupils in Primary 2-7:

  • Children to be in their lines for 8.55am.
  • All of Primary 2 will line up at the infant door and will be brought to the front door at 3pm.
  • Primary 3 and Primary 4/3 will line up beside the greenhouse and will be let out of the door nearest the car park at 3pm. Please make arrangements with your child as to which gate you will collect them from as we will be opening the bottom gate to ease congestion.
  • Primary 5/4 and Primary 5 will be let out of the huts at 3pm.
  • Primary 6 and 7 will be let out of the front door at 3pm.

We will always do our best to make transitions as smooth as possible, but we ask for your patience and understanding as we try to establish routines at the beginning of term.

Looking forward to seeing all of our MPS pupils tomorrrow!
