Article 16 – The Right to Privacy – Homework Challenge

During assembly today the ‘Rights Respecting Schools’ committee discussed article 16 of the UNCRC, ‘The Right to Privacy’.

They invited the children to share their opinion on whether CCTV is an invasion of people’s privacy. This is a homework task and all children are invited to have a go. See below for more detail on how to complete the task.

Learning Intention:

To evaluate whether CCTV is an invasion of our privacy in a written report.

Success Criteria:

Write in sentences and split your sections into paragraphs.
Read over your ideas to make sure it all makes sense.

You should include…

An explanation of what CCTV is

Your arguments for CCTV

Your arguments against the use of CCTV

Also don’t forget to end your report by explaining whether or not you think CCTV is an invasion of our privacy.

If you complete the task you can hand it into your teacher who will pass it on to Miss Cruickshank or Mrs Molloy.

Children in Need

What an enjoyable day everyone had on Friday. Fantastic outfits, plenty of fun activities and goodies to be eaten.
Thank you to everyone that donated items for the Bring and Buy Sale and the Bake Sale, the response was incredible. Thanks also to all of you for the monies you gave your children to take part in our fundraising, it is really appreciated.

OUR TOTAL RAISED SO FAR FOR THIS WORTHWHILE CAUSE IS A WONDERFUL £555.82!!!!

We are hoping that this will increase a little as we still have some bake items to sell this week at 20p per cake so please bring in some change if you can so they don’t go to waste.
We will keep you updated with our final amount at the end of the week.
