Today at assembly, these children were presented with Successful Learner awards from their teachers, well done!
We also had wider achievements for dancing, judo and participating in a musical concert as part of a band. Well done everyone!

What an enjoyable day everyone had on Friday. Fantastic outfits, plenty of fun activities and goodies to be eaten.
Thank you to everyone that donated items for the Bring and Buy Sale and the Bake Sale, the response was incredible. Thanks also to all of you for the monies you gave your children to take part in our fundraising, it is really appreciated.
OUR TOTAL RAISED SO FAR FOR THIS WORTHWHILE CAUSE IS A WONDERFUL £555.82!!!!
We are hoping that this will increase a little as we still have some bake items to sell this week at 20p per cake so please bring in some change if you can so they don’t go to waste.
We will keep you updated with our final amount at the end of the week.

On Friday 16th Nov, MPS Pupil Council are hosting a @BBCCiN fundraising day.
*Pay £1 to dress down in pyjamas or come as Pudsey or Blush (or in Children in Need clothes).
*We will be holding a Bring and Buy Sale (please send in pre-loved toys and games in VERY good condition).
*We will be having a bake sale (please send in donations of cakes and biscuits for us to sell).
*There will be a Pudsey poster competition where the winning class will win an extra playtime.
*You can guess how many sweets are in the jar for 20p (winner gets to keep the sweets!)
*Bring along your favourite teddy for the Teddy Bear Dance Party in the hall.
We want to raise as much money as we can for @BBCCiN, we hope you can support us to make our highest total yet!

If you expressed an interest in the Understanding Your Child online course through the Parental Survey at Parent/Teacher consultations tonight, could you please send an email to enquiries@morningside.n-lanark.sch.uk to let us know who you are as the survey is anonymous. Please include which preferred time slot you selected so we can try to accommodate as many people as possible.
If you did not complete the survey, here is the information and suggested time slots:
Would you be interested in taking part in an online course to help deepen your understanding of your child, their development and behaviour and different styles of communication for responding to your child’s needs and feelings?
It consists of 11 modules which take around 20 minutes each to complete. There are interactive activities, quizzes, and video clips to aid learning. There is also an optional voiceover.
We are hoping to host sessions for our parents and carers to complete the online course and want to know what sort of time would suit you best.
If you are interested, please select your preferred time slot from the options below. Please note, we would be unable to provide childcare and this is an adult only workshop. The normal cost for this course is £39 but we are able to facilitate for free at this time.
1.30 – 2.30pm
4.00 – 5.00pm
6.00 – 7.00pm
7.00 – 8.00pm
We look forward to hearing from you.

Here are our Successful Learners for October, their teachers have been very impressed with their hard work and progress over the past few weeks.
We also had 3 boys complete their block of Equitots and a very talented young girl bring in her amazing piece of art for us all to admire.
Well done everyone!

I am very pleased to introduce our new Pupil Council Leaders for 2018/19. They all gave very convincing statements about why they should represent their classes and take on a leadership role within the school. I look forward to working alongside them to help increase pupil participation in school improvement, plan some fundraising events throughout the year, and ensure that Pupil Voice is heard.
