Room 7 have been learning about Chinese Food Culture. Today we made vegetable spring rolls.
Most of us thought they were delicious! We then wrote instructions to help someone else make them – why not give it a go?
Today we had an excellent time at Strathclyde Park. This visit was arranged to enhance our learning of Interdisciplinary topic ‘My Local Area’. Kaiden learned about the different trees. Tommy learned about the history Bothwellhaugh. Kaleigh learned about the animals and birds. Skye learned that the Roman Bridge was not built by the Romans.
We all had a terrific time!

Everyone at Lawmuir was very excited to have our Executive Director, Mr Andrew Sutherland visiting this morning. Some of our Primary 7 pupils accompanied Mr Sutherland and Mrs Hunter on a tour of the school. Boys and girls in all classes were very keen to show off all of their hard work. I’m sure Mr Sutherland really enjoyed his visit as much as we enjoyed having him in Lawmuir.
On Fridays, we all take part in Team Building exercises.
Last week, each group had to try and construct the highest tower using spaghetti and marshmallows.
Today the challenge was to make the tallest cup tower using 49 cups.

As part of their Health Topic Room 6 have been making banana smoothies.
They have written recipes so you can make them too.
Room 6 have been exploring different ways to learn addition facts.
They have enjoyed playing the balloon addition game and are really good at this.
In Room 6 we have had a busy start to Primary 2. We use white boards to practice our common words. We are really good at using them when we are writing in sentences.
