Parents please remember to register your card and choose Lawmuir as your home team. Remember to scan as many boxes as you can and help us climb the leader board. All classes had a visit from an SSPCA Education Officer today. They shared with us about their job and how we can also help to protect and look after our pets and animals.
Everyone enjoyed the visits.
Today Room 16 enjoyed a trip to the library. The Librarian read us some great stories and we got the chance to read on our own and take books out.
As part of book week, we have been learning about the classic story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. In PE, we were working in groups to make up dances to the ‘Oompa Loompa’ song. We had a lot of fun creating our dances and enjoyed performing them to the class.
As part of Literacy Week Room 16 made up stories using props and card ideas from the Scottish Story Box.
Today in class Room 16 completed some time challenges, played a range of time games and made time posters.
On Friday 15th January 2016 we went outside to see what it would be like to be Jack Frost in the cold.
We were reading the poem ‘Jack Frost is Playing’ by Brian Patten and then we were able to write our own experiences from being outside!
