There are presently a number of vacancies on Lawmuir Parent Council ‘Friends of Lawmuir’. I would advise you that as a member of the school’s Parent Forum, you are entitled to put yourself forward for membership of the Parent Council.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Parent Council, please express your interest by emailing the school office (enquiries-at-lawmuir@northlan.org.uk) no later than Friday 15th September.

Please note that if the number of interested parents exceeds the number of places available then members will be decided by formal ballot.

Our current chair Lesley Condron will then be in touch. The parent council work hard to fundraise and put on fun and exciting opportunities for all pupils at Lawmuir. We need your help!

INSET Day – Thursday 15th June – A reminder that school is closed on Thursday 15th June as the school is being used in the Local Council Elections. No pupils should attend. Staff will be engaged in training & development activities.

Parent Council Fun Day – Friday 16th June

Our Parent Council have arranged a special end of year Fun Day for all pupils. This is a free event with no money being required. This is an event for pupils in school only. No adults can attend. Classes are timetabled to visit the events and attractions across the school day.

Soccer Aid – Friday 16th June

Also on this day is our annual Soccer Aid event to raise money for UNICEF. Again classes will be timetabled to visit our obstacle course during the day. Pupils should wear PE Kit (weather appropriate) and bring a water bottle. They may also need sun cream applied in the morning before school if it is sunny. Hats are also recommended for when outside. We will be unable to do this should the weather be bad. Please bring a donation for UNICEF!

As always please do not send your child to school in Football strips. This is against NLC Policy.

Crazy Hair Day – Scheduled Non-Uniform Day – Friday 16th June

Pupils are invited to come to school in a crazy hair style. Please ensure pupils are able to participate in an obstacle course should they take part.
