Lawmuir Primary School along with other NLC establishments will be open as normal following Industrial Action being called off. Children should attend as normal.

Dear parents/carers,

You may be aware that Unite the Union has notified the council that its members who support the running and operation of primary schools, secondary schools, ASN schools and early years establishments, will be striking between 26-28 September 2023 in relation to the proposed pay award.

It is anticipated that the centre, nursery class or school that your child attends will remain open over the above dates and children should attend as normal.

This is a situation that may be subject to change and you will be contacted directly if information is updated.

There are presently a number of vacancies on Lawmuir Parent Council ‘Friends of Lawmuir’. I would advise you that as a member of the school’s Parent Forum, you are entitled to put yourself forward for membership of the Parent Council.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Parent Council, please express your interest by emailing the school office (enquiries-at-lawmuir@northlan.org.uk) no later than Friday 15th September.

Please note that if the number of interested parents exceeds the number of places available then members will be decided by formal ballot.

Our current chair Lesley Condron will then be in touch. The parent council work hard to fundraise and put on fun and exciting opportunities for all pupils at Lawmuir. We need your help!
